Could this be you? While you try to be the calm, cool, collected guy that everyone depends on, you often feel like you're falling short and it bugs you. There is a right way to do things in life, and you figured out what works because it worked for you. You don't want to be impatient and angry with people - you want to be more empathetic and understanding. But there is this irritation and resentment building up. They keep messing up. Your anger isn't random; it's because they don't even bother trying to do things the right way. You just want them to realize how their behaviours are not helping them. You're left defeated. You throw your hands up, and walk away - what else is there to do?

I'M LOST

Built a good life, but I'm still not happy

Does this ring a bell? You work hard, got a good job, built a good life, have a group of close friends - everything you needed to be happy. But something's missing. You're just not happy. You want to say something to your family or friends, but you’re not sure what to say. And even if you did say something, would they even understand? You start thinking you're the issue, so you keep this to yourself hoping everything works itself out. Everyone else seems to be happy. The more you keep it all to yourself, the happier they look. It gets to a point where trying feels pointless - in fact, it's painful to even think about. No one is noticing that you're unhappy, and it's not getting better. This just make you feel powerless, and only adds to your feelings of being unhappy.

I'M STRESSED

I need to do well, or I'm nothing

Does this sound familiar? You're feeling stressed. There's this constant pressure to get a job, get a degree, basically do what everyone thinks you should. But the drive is not there. You're going through the motions because you have to. Everyone else seems to have their life together, so you should too. You don't want to disappoint your family and friends, right? Watching everyone else be successful, it's tempting to step back, shy away, and let other's shine because you're not measuring up. You keep trying to get on track, but it's just not shaping up how you thought. You're desire to change is not about reaching something that is positive. It's more about avoiding others - including yourself - from seeing you as a failure.
